Applied at Passport Acceptance office on 6/28, passport showed received and in process on 7/5. Had email ‘In Process’ confirmation on 7/19. Got nervous and reached out to my Senator. His office reached out to Houston on 7/22, got message on 7/25 that they received the enquiry. Passport showed as ‘Shipped’ on site on 7/26. Received via UPS overnight on 7/27. I was stressed out the whole time, and I do think the Senator’s office enquiry helped, but cannot confirm.

Adult Renewal Passport sent from post office on 6/29. Passport showed as received and in process on site on 7/5. Received ‘In Process’ email confirmation on 7/11. Received ‘Shipped’ email on 7/22. Received ‘Approved’ email on 7/25, so checked the passport had actually shipped- it showed in USPS system as arriving on 7/27. Passport arrived via USPS on 7/26. I was stressed out due to our close travel time, but I did nothing else other than pay for expedited service and 1-2 day shipping.
