My timeframe includes two holidays. Memorial Day and Juneteenth. On Friday, June 17th, the status of my passport was changed from processing to Approved. However, Juneteenth held it up a little because USPS was off for the holiday that was observed on Monday, June 20th. Back when I sent it in, more or less it was taking 20 days on avg. the average time has since moved up, but the holidays definitely had a hand in it taking a little longer. (I sent it from LA, California)

05/07: Applied at USPS, expedited both ways.
05/11: Status shows application received
06/03: Application approved
The initial status on 06/03 said the application was approved and that it was being mailed and also had the tracking number, which I saved. Later on, it just said that the application was approved and the passport was being printed. So whenever you get the tracking number on the status, save it.
The status said I should receive the passport by 06/08 but I received it a few days after 06/03.
