I emailed them for a status update just over seven weeks after submitting my application. They responded to my email two days later telling me to call. When I called, I was told it was approved, the online status will update and I should be getting an email with a tracking number soon. Four days later, no email and the online status showed “In Process”. Called back as I have international travel in two weeks and was told to make an appointment at my local Passport Agency, which I did ($60 expedited fee was not waived). Came home to my passport in the mail. Based on the issue date, it was issued the day after I emailed them.
