Let’s face it, every single government agency is backlogged, underfunded, understaffed, and the software/ application process is beyond antiquated. Having to send in a check by mail is not in most younger American’s wheelhouse anymore. However, the instructions are pretty clear and the wait wasn’t long. I did not pay to expedite either.
