This was an expedited renewal for my daughter (11). I took her to the local library on 7/31 and I mailed my mine and my husband’s the same day to PA . The passport office received mine and my husband’s on 8/03 but hers wasn’t received until 8/07, so I’d assume they didn’t mail it out right away. This worried me because we were cutting it close and the 9 week mark would have been after our travel date for hers with the later date. The librarian was also hesitant because I didn’t bring her birth certificate which according to the passport website is not needed for a renewal with the old passport. Overall though everything turned out better than expected and we received it within 5 weeks after they received it which is really impressive. I paid for the faster shipping too. I didn’t check her tracking but ours came from AZ so I’d guess hers did too.
