I was shocked that we received the passport in about 6 weeks. I did fill out the application ‘on line’ and then had to mail in the passport with the application printed out and photos attached. So it was not the full ON LINE option (which was not available anyway) but the process may get accelerated a bit if the documentation is pre-submitted online ? Basically I just filled out the same form I would have by hand, submitted this online, and then mailed in a nice clean hard copy with stapled on foto. I used priority mail for tracking in case it got lost by USPS.

2 Simple passport renewals. Each mailed in own envelope (not together) with separate checks for fees. Mailed via USPS with tracking to ensure they were received. Paid for expedited processing and priority delivery service given the 7-9 week time frame referenced on website as we are set to travel in December. It actually took less than 2 busiess weeks from start to finish. Pretty impressive.

Here’s my info, since other people’s was very useful to me as I was worried about timing! Mine took 4 weeks with expedited service for a passport renewal. I never called, reached out to my senator, etc. Just mailed the application and received the passport 4 weeks later.

I never received any emails, although I signed up for them. The website also wasn’t updated to show I was approved. The passport just came in the mail. A few days later, the website was updated to show that the supporting docs were mailed. DOT 10/25/2023, which I put on my application.

Passport Renewal. I paid for expedited service as well as Priority shipping both ways. I mailed my application to the Philadelphia office but status on website showed 19 – Washington Passport Agency. The actual passport was processed and mailed from the Arkansas office. I subscribed to receive the E-mail updates but I did not receive e-mail notification. However, the status on website was updated and tracking number was provided. I received my old passport in a separate mailing a few days later.
