My passport was processed from locator 62 in Tucson, AZ
Other than shipping my application by priority mail, I did not pay for any extra expediting.
My travel date is August 8 so I was starting to get nervous especially with all the horror stories I have read but fortunately it arrived without me having to call the center or my state reps. I definitely consider myself one of the fortunate ones to get my passport within the timeframe. Overall though the uncertainty sucks and it would be wonderful if the Government would figure out a better system.

The only reason it was stressful is because of the uncertainty of knowing if I would receive my passport on time. After reading the news about the passport delay I became very worried, the trip paid is very expensive. This site is truly helpful because I could read the experience of other and learned ideas of what to do if my passport didn’t arrive on time. My trip is scheduled for 08/23/23

6/22 – My wife’s passport came. Came from Hot Springs, AR even though it had Houston locator number.
7/5 – Contact our Congressman’s office about my helping me locate my passport. 7/6 – Called the national passport agency. The rude lady said she didn’t see where my passport was to be expedited. She wasn’t allowed to tell me where the passport was being processed and could not connect me to processing agency.
7/7 – Congressman’s office called and said it was being processed and shipped. Tracking number showed UPS next day air.
7/10 – Expected delivery via UPS

I sent my passport for renewal at the end of May. Received notification with locator number on 6/5 letting me know that application is in process. Checked status today (7/7) and saw my application was approved and that I can expect to receive passport on 7/12. DOT is 8/3 but I need to apply for a visa so I was starting to feel stressed and emailed Congressman / Senator this morning (7/7) requesting assistance with expediting since I need to apply for a tourist visa ahead of my travel date. Luckily I never had to pursue this further since my application was approved.
