I was told my passport renewal would take 8-10 weeks. I received my passport exactly 7 weeks from the day I mailed my application. I tracked my passport status on the official State Dept. website. Overall, easy experience.

Mailed application to the National Passport Processing Center in Philadelphia on February 4th. Tracking showed they received the application then they processed the payment on February 13th. They finally updated my application status showing they received my application on March 5th. Signed up to request email updates but never received any updates on my status. Received new passport in the mail on April 6th. Checked status again online and it showed that it was shipped on April 4th via Priority Mail.
